How it works for landlords

The Bond Guarantee Scheme
Calderdale SmartMove operates a written guaranteed Bond scheme. The value of the bond is one month’s rental allowance. The bond is signed by all parties at the beginning of the tenancy for a period of six-months, the bond can be renewed for a further six-months if required.

All clients are encouraged to save for their own bond to secure the tenancy after the initial support period.

The bond can be claimed upon to cover any damages to the property and any rent arrears which may be incurred, up to the value of the Bond allocated.

Landlords using our Bond Guarantee Scheme do not incur the additional costs and work associated with a bond deposit scheme.
