Schools

We have formed many partnerships with schools throughout Calderdale. In 2017 we facilitated over 30 presentations to local children aimed at increasing the awareness of homelessness and the importance of strong family and friend networks. We bring to life real experiences for the pupils.

These sessions are well received and as a result all the schools donated the proceeds of their Harvest Festivals and many Christmas Fairs. Pupils dug deep, searched their cupboards and definitely helped to make a difference to vulnerable people across Calderdale.

Here are the schools that have kindly supported us:
Without this assistance we would be unable to help our clients with emergency food packs and basic hygiene goods at times of urgency, particularly during the harsh winter months. We are extremely grateful for our schools and local community pulling together for the benefit of either homeless or vulnerably housed people.
