SmartSkills
Self Development Through Learning Power
If you would like to develop your life skills we can offer you our free SmartSkills Learning Programme. This will give you the opportunity to get an accredited City and Guilds qualification ‘Self Development through Learning Power’. There are many areas in which you can develop your interests, including:
- Computer Skills
- Gardening
- Photography
- Organising Events, such as guided walks
- Dry Stone Walling
- And Many Others....
SmartSkills is delivered on four different levels; you will be able to record evidence of achievements in a portfolio. There are different ways in which you will be able to collect your evidence; these are adaptable and will vary according to your own interests and circumstances.
Participants in SmartSkills are referred from pre tenancy training and existing clients. Referrals can also be made to SmartSkills from other support agencies in Calderdale, through the authority wide initiative.
At SmartMove we have a dedicated Learning Zone where you will be able to use a variety of equipment free of charge, including; projector, interactive white board, digital camera, digital video camera and several IT workstations for internet access.
